Border Hounds

Monday will be the premier of Border Hounds,  a film I shot for National Geographic Wild as part of their Blue Collar Dogs series.  Last August I spent most of the month chasing around some truly incredible K9's in El Paso and the surrounding area.

City Dark World Premier at SXSW

My good friend and film-making pal Ian Cheney has finished his Brainchild: The City Dark.  It's a magnificent documentary film about the night sky.  I am very proud to be credited as DP.  Ian and I went on some amazing visual adventures together shooting this one.  I must admit however, that some of the most stunning imagery in the film is the time lapse photography of the night sky, done by Ian himself.  The City Dark will have its world premier at SXSW next month. Check out one of the screenings if your at the fest this year.

Wild West shoot

I had the pleasure of shooting some epic scenery in the southwest last week for  a PBS American Experience.  Got some killer time-lapse and managed to snap some medium format slides with the Yashica.

Taiwan

Last week I made a trip to Taiwan with my friends, Ian and Curt at Wicked Delicate Films to help them with a new documentary.  Here are a couple slides I took while roaming the streets there.

A Life In the Theatre - Promo

Last month I shot two TV promos for a new Broadway play by David Mamet, starring Patrick Steward and T.R. Night.
The spots were shot on the RED One with the new Mysterium-X image sensor.

Driftless Nominated for Emmy

 
Driftless is a 30 min documentary about life in Rural Iowa.  I shot the film for friend and colleague, Danny Wilcox-Frazier.  It was a true labor of love and is an honor to see it nominated for an Emmy this year.
